It's almost Halloween

We normally don't trick or treat.  We end up at our church's Harvest party which is a huge success every year.  Well this year we are going to do both! We are headed up to our new neighborhood, which is really a street. There are about 10 homes and we figure it to be a good opportunity to introduce our little munchkins to our neighbors.

Boston is going to be a tiger and has been practicing his growl all week. He has waited long enough and today has worn his tiger suit all morning, without the ears and whiskers.  Poor guy is sweaty and makes going potty a chore, but by golly, he is READY and done waiting.  Here he is having his lunch.  I have rolled up his sleeves and put on a bib in efforts to save the costume but I am thinking at this rate we will have one more trip through the washer before tomorrow night.  That is if I can get him to take it off ;-)

1 month old

Cooper is 1 month old today.  It goes by so fast!  I can hardly believe it.  I already feel like he is growing up too fast. Here are a few photos from this week that make me smile.

I think Cooper is going to be a binky man.  He goes back and forth but when he does fall asleep with it, he has a death grip on it.
A few days ago I put Cooper down in Boston's bed so Boston could pretend to put him down for a nap.  Boston quickly got a few books and I caught him reading his big brother book :-)

House and Office Photos

Last week when we were at the house Cooper decided he needed to eat right then!  So I didn't get too many photos.  Today he slept and I was able to get a good amount.  I post these photos not just because we are excited about the progress of our new home, but because I will be glad to look back at the different stages.  Here is our current progress:

Exterior Office - Paint should be going on this week.

House Exterior
Master Bath - the plastic is covering our tub, but the cabinets are in.
Boys playroom - the windows are to our backyard and the cardboard is covering the fireplace.
Another angle of the boys' playroom.
Boston's room - to the right is the boys' bathroom
Office Interior - insulation is in, sheetrock is next.
House Great Room

Another angle house great room - behind the boards is the fireplace.  I am taking the photo from the kitchen.
Kitchen - the island will house the cooktop.  Below the window is the sink.  Cabinets are in!
More kitchen
Master Bedroom

I only got 1 photo

Okay so clearly this is going to be work!  Cooper is typically only awake for about 10 minutes and then he is fussy because he has the hiccups, is tired or is hungry, again.  And then he is back to sleep.  So I took a camera full of photos.  And of my collection the photos were either blurry, his eyes were closed, spit up ALL over the pjs, asleep again or mad.  Sigh.  So this is the very first photo I took of the morning and it sorta turned out.  None of the photos was he looking at the camera.  I can see this will be a part time job!  I will keep trying though.

Hangin Out

Boston, Cooper and I have spent this past week at home, just hanging out. Lots of library books, puzzles, naps, visits from friends and family, meals etc.  This week my goal is to get some photos of Cooper with his eyes open.  This is a task but it can be done.  He is awake much more now and is quite the sweetie with his little awake noises.  Look for those soon.....

Soccer Again

Originally I thought once the baby comes we will not do swimming lessons or soccer for the fall but Ben said, sign him and Boston up and they will go on Saturday mornings as their little outing. And Cooper and I can stay home.  That turned out to be a great idea.  Boston needs the energy outlet.  And last week Cooper and I went along for the ride and stayed in the car having our morning snack.  Maybe this week we will actually make it inside and cheer on Boston :-)

Newborn Honeymoon

I can't get enough of Cooper.  And he is a cuddler, a dream come true.  He is so content and just loves to be held.  He only cries if he has a burp (hold him) or is hungry (hold him).  Ahhhh.
