My Kids

I love being an auntie.  I just love both my brother's kids and Allison's boys. These photos were taken last Sunday at Boston's 3rd birthday party. Ben took these photos and captured each of them sooooo well, without even trying :-)

Emmy is all sparkle.  I don't have to look too hard to see my mom in her eyes.
Ian is double cute and double SMART.
Boston adores Eli.  And I am so thankful that Eli is such an awesome example!
A few months ago Gavin told me that I was his "princess" and he was my "hero."  How can you say no to that?
I have never seen Grace turn down a cheesy chip.  And why should she when she looks like this?
Our newest hunk.  Baby Andy is so handsome and beyond well behaved.

Happy Birthday Boston!

Sunday Aug 24th was Boston's 3rd birthday.  We had his little party at George Roger's Park down the street. The weather was perfect for me, a slight drizzle, cool breeze and cloudy :-)  I am so thankful for our family that came to support and love on Boston.  Boston scored with some awesome gifts.  Boston, happy birthday doll! I am so grateful for you.  You are the biggest gift to my life.

My Dream

A few nights ago I had a bizarre dream.  I have had some really vivid dreams during this pregnancy and I will wake up all sweaty.  I think at night the oven goes into 'broil' mode and the hormones overdrive.....but that is another post :-)  My dream was that Ben had come to me and said that he was going to go on a mission trip for 2 years and he was going to take Boston with him.  And lastly, I was going to stay home for the 2 years and take care of the new baby.  In my dream I was telling Ben I did not want to do this.  I told him I would miss both Ben and Boston way too much.  And I either wanted to make the trip with them or we ALL stay home.

So back to today.  Today is Boston's birthday.  My 5 pound baby is 3!  Boston you bring more joy and good heartache than I can express.  This week I have been praying that you would begin to understand how much I love you.  I am so proud of you!  I can't wait for your party today to celebrate YOU :-)

We went to the zoo

Last night about 10pm Anna invited me to a last minute trip to the zoo since her kids will be in school before we blink.  So today we packed up our 5 kids, including 1 baby, 2 strollers, 1 VERY pregnant Momma, and lots of snacks.  The kids were so enjoyable and well behaved.  Boston couldn't get enough of all the animals and holding hands with Emmy and Eli.  I am so thankful for all of our kids.  A true slice of heaven.

They went to Multnomah Falls

The Garcia family was in town last weekend.  On Saturday Sue and Sara came to my baby shower and Juan, Alex, Ben and Boston spent the afternoon together.  On Sunday we all went to church, out to lunch and then the Garcias took Boston up to Multnomah Falls.  Boston could not wait to go on a hike and they all had such a good time.  I sent the camera with Sara and she came back with some great shots.  Boston is still talking about the waterfall!

SO Blessed

Saturday I was so incredibly blessed at my baby shower.  Most everyone was able to come and the food and company was delicious!  I was so thankful for my dearest Auntie Victoria for opening her home and cooking a wonderful meal for all of us.  And at the last minute the boys' Auntie Allison was able to come.  She is my big sister and the boys' very own personal nurse ;-) Nana scored with getting us a saucer, which I always wanted.  Reshma totally spoiled me with pajamas for ME.  The Garcias were in town for the weekend so Sue and Sara came to be apart as well.  My Nana Lewis made it which was so special as I know it is a big sacrifice.  And the rest of my closest most dearest loved friends and family.  I am so grateful for your love and support.

Good Friends

Friday night Doug and Lynn Ann Troxell watched Boston for us for Ben's birthday.  Doug works for/with Ben and they have 2 boys that Boston just loves to play with.  So in the middle of dinner Doug sent us this photo of Asher and Boston on their trampoline that is completely netted.  I HAVE to get one of these at our new house.  The boys had so much fun!  Boston did not want to leave and asked first thing on Saturday if he could go back to the "jumperine".  I will post my baby shower photos soon :-)

Hallelujah!!

This is Boston's potty chart.  He gets a sticker every time he goes in the toilet.  And he has used all his stickers.  Sometimes he decided not to put the sticker on his chart, but instead to put them on his t shirt, his undies, his bum, give it to me, you get the idea.  So we are officially potty trained, but still practicing.  I figure I will have a few weeks break from diapers until we start all over with baby brother :-)
