Boston's New Words

A few months ago I started blogging all the new words that Boston was spitting out. I got away from it since he has been on overload the past few months. He is a total chatterbox. Above is a photo of Boston in the middle of a sentence. I have dozens of photos like this. I say, "Boston smile" or "Say cheese" and he keeps on talking and I get this :-)

There is no way to get you updated on ALL the new words he has learned but here are some of my favorites:

5. Batteries (This one is very recent and if something doesn't work quite right Boston thinks it needs batteries or new batteries.)
4. Gummies (He has gummy bear vitamins and gets them at breakfast. He doesn't miss a day.)
3. Refrigerator (It doesn't even sound close, but it is on a Baby Einstein video with the sign language so he does the motions with a good 4 syllables.)
2. Emmy (Emilie), Base (Grace), EI (Eli), Ian (Sounds perfect), Bavin (Gavin), A (Uncle Aaron), Nana (also doubles as Auntie Anna), Ally and Fire Truck (Auntie Allison and Uncle Kevin)
1. Pray (with the folded hands. YES!!)

Our Lot

I finally took our camera to our lot. Above are a few photos of our land that we bought back in April. One day we will build on it. Right now we are planning and saving! The property starts where Ben is standing and it is all trees. You cannot see, but we are at the end of the road. We will develop the road to be a cul de sac. We love, love, love it.

Sunglasses

I was in the laundry room this morning packing a bag for church. We were running dangerously close to late, and I said, "C'mon on guys. Let's go!" And then they both said, "We're ready!" Here is what I came out to.

Apparently sunglasses are still in style even when it is cloudy.

Braces Update

I went to the orthodontist last week and saw Dr Rhoney, the head doctor. And he said my teeth look perfect, now we have to adjust my jaw just a little more. So he told me to stop wearing the rubber bands I had been wearing, which were similar to floss. And start wearing a few sizes up, which are like.....those thick utility rubber bands that are always in a garage. He also told me to watch for the shifting. So my bite has changed a lot in just a few weeks. I think this means I am on track with my goal of getting these monsters off by Christmas, well let's REALLY hope for Halloween!!

We have a soccer player.....at least for now

Our weekend was full of soccer. Friday Ben and Boston played outside with Boston's new soccer ball. Boston HAD to wear his new soccer shoes. Then Saturday afternoon we went to Aaron's boys soccer game (He coaches the varsity Portland Christian boys). And we cheered them to victory. Again Boston had to bring his ball and new shoes to support and practice. Everybody was sweaty by dinner time, Ben, Boston and Eli. Above are a few photos from Friday afternoon.

Photos from Saturday Night

Here are the photos from last Saturday night. Check out Boston's face! He had so much fun and once Ben finally got the helmet on he looked like a bobble head doll. Thanks Allison :-)

Date Night

Don't you just LOVE date nights? There are a number of reasons why Ben and I go out few and far between. The reasons include, we are lazy, we hate to plan, we are busy, other people are busy. You get the idea.

So last night Ben called his sister last minute and asked if she wanted an extra boy for a few hours. And as always, she said YES! (Side note: Allison is one of a few people that I would call last minute to watch Bossy for a date. It is so last minute and feels rude to me. But she is always so gracious. Reminds me SO much of my mom) Anyways, we went to a movie and dinner. Super fun for us!

And someone else had super fun too. We went to pick up Boston and he had gone down a blow up water side, had a can of Pringles chips, and was riding around on a mini scooter off a ramp jump. It is no wonder his first words this morning were, "Ian?"

Trigger Happy!

We LOVE our new camera. Just over the weekend Ben and I took over 300 photos. Trigger happy for sure :-) So above are a few of my favorites. All of them are of Boston because we were following him around for 3 days practicing!
